“Guadeloupe Land of Rum and Men”: this film is a tribute to these men and women, to this culture, this identity and their history!!
"Guadeloupe Land of Rum and Men" tells the story of men and women whom the great tormented and tragic History brought together on a land - Guadeloupe - in terrible circumstances, slavery!
From this forced cohabitation was born a liqueur - Rum - which is the result of a know-how transmitted from generation to generation.
This rum which is an allegory of the blood, the tears and the sweat of the slaves who watered the cane fields at; sugar, is also the common denominator of identity. common to all Guadeloupeans regardless of their origins.
